Schwoby's RDR2 Strategy Guide

Trapper - Saddles

Although the Trapper states that you could equip the saddle right away, the only option you have is to equip it at a stable. To get to it, select Tack and Services > Equipment > Saddles > Pre-Purchased Saddles. All of these saddles provide a -50% Stamina Drain Rate and two ticks bonus for both Speed and Acceleration, which is what the best stirrups offer. This is notated as the Trapper saddles remove the stirrups. You can save some cash by not worrying about purchasing any saddles or stirrups from the Stable and just upgrading directly to one of the Trapper Saddles. The Panther Trail Saddle is best if you are going for Stamina Core bonus whereas the Beaver Roping Saddle is best if you want the best Health Core bonus.
